Marie Hull

Marie Hull is one of the most celebrated, accomplished and beloved Mississippi artists. She worked in a variety of styles and mediums throughout her long career. She was an influential teacher who taught generations of artists. When the Mississippi Museum of
Art presented the exhibition “Bright Fields: The Mastery of Marie Hull” in 2015, the opening night was the largest attended of any show every presented at the MMA, attesting to Hull’s popularity and appreciation for her decades of work.
Hull exhibited extensively during her lifetime. Her works are now in the permanent collections of the Johnson Collection, Columbia, SC, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans, LA, Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson, MS, Morris Museum of Art, Augusta, GA, Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, AL, Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile, AL, Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, Laurel, MS, among others.
